Thank you for coming to the Mad American Club. Here everyone can post comments and suggest topics to discuss. We all are Americans that care for the future of our country, we just defer at times on how that future looks and how to get there

Obamas view of Public Housing
The problem with public housing is that the residents are not the owners. The people that live in the house did not earn the house, but were loaned the property from the true owners, the taxpayers. Because of this, the residents do not have the "pride of ownership" that comes with the hard work necessary.
In fact, the opposite happens and the residents resent their benefactors because the very house is a constant reminder that they themselves did not earn the right to live in the house. They do not appreciate the value of the property and see no need to maintain or respect it in any way.
The result is the same whether you are talking about a studio apartment or a magnificent mansion full of priceless antiques. If the people who live there do not feel they earned the privilege, they will make this known through their actions.
The picture below illustrates the point.
The Resolute Desk was built from the timbers of the HMS Resolute and was a gift from Queen Victoria to President Rutherford B. Hayes. It is considered a national treasure and an icon of the presidency.
Mr. Obama, you are not in a hut in Kenya, or public housing in Chicago. With all due respect, get your damn feet off our desk!
Better yet, just leave...this Nation!

Why do I carry a gun?

Self Defense
Self Defense
Never let someone or thing that threatens you get inside arms' length and never say I got a gun. If you feel you need to use deadly force, for heaven’s sake let the first sound they hear be the safety clicking off and they shouldn't have time to hear anything after that if you are doing a good job.
And my favorite:
'The average response time of a 911 call is over 3 minutes....the response time of a .44 magnum is 1400 feet per second.'
Shooting advice: Clint Smith, Director of Thunder Ranch, is a drill instructor (Thunder Ranch is a firearms training facility in Arizona ). Here are a few of his observation on tactics, firearms, self defense and life as we know it in the civilized world.
"The most important rule in a gunfight is: Always win, and cheat if necessary."
"Don't forget, incoming bullets have the right of way."
"Make your attacker advance through a wall of bullets. You may get killed with your own gun, but he'll have to beat you to death with it, 'cause it's going to be empty."
"If you're not shootin', you should be loadin'. If you're not loadin', you should be movin'; if you're not movin', someone's gonna cut your head off and put it on a stick."
"Do something. It may be wrong, but do something."
"Shoot what's available, as long as it's available, until something else becomes available."
"If you carry a gun, people will call you paranoid. That's ridiculous. If you have a gun, what in the hell do you have to be paranoid for?"
"Don't shoot fast, unless you also shoot good."
"You can say 'stop' or 'alto' or use any other word you think will work, but I've found that a large bore muzzle pointed at someone's head is pretty much the universal language."
"You have the rest of your life to solve your problems.. How long you live, depends on how well you do it."
"You cannot save the planet but you may be able to save yourself and some other people."
"Thunder Ranch will be here as long as you'll have us or until someone makes us go away, and either way, it will be exciting."
More Excellent Gun Wisdom........
The purpose of fighting is to win. There is no possible victory in defense. The sword is more important than the shield, and skill is more important than either. The final weapon is the brain. All else is supplemental.
1. Don't pick a fight with an old man. If he is too old to fight, he'll just kill you.
2. If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck.
3. I carry a gun cause a cop is too heavy.
4. When seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.
5. A reporter did a human-interest piece on the Texas Rangers. The reporter recognized the Colt Model 1911 the Ranger was carrying and asked him 'Why do you carry a .45?' The Ranger responded, 'Because they don't make a .46.'
6. An armed man will kill an unarmed man with monotonous regularity.
7. The old sheriff was attending an awards dinner when a lady commented on his wearing his sidearm. 'Sheriff, I see you have your pistol. Are you expecting trouble?' 'No ma'am. If I were expecting trouble, I would have brought my rifle.'
8. Beware of the man who only has one gun, because he probably knows how to use it very well.
'The true soldier fights not because he hates what is in front of him, but because he loves what is behind him.'
G. K. Chesterton
A people that values its privileges above its principles will soon lose both.

Americas Obituray?
| Dr. Walter Williams |
Obituary-Very Interesting!
Born 1776, Died 2008
It doesn't hurt to read this several times.
Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning the last Presidential election:
- Number of States won by: Obama:19 McCain: 29
- Square miles of land won by: Obama:580,000 McCain: 2,427,000
- Population of counties won by: Obama:127million McCain: 143 million
- Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by: Obama: 13.2 McCain: 2.1
Professor Olson adds: "In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.
Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase.
If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegal's - and they vote - then we can say goodbye to the USA in fewer than five years. Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income tenements and living off various forms of government welfare..."

If you are in favor of this, then by all means, delete this message.
If you are not, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

Obama and Osamas heaven
Great e-mail so I just had to post it :)
When Osama bin Laden died, he was met at the pearly gates
by George Washington, who slapped him across the face and
yelled: "How dare you try to destroy the nation I helped conceive!"
Patrick Henry approached, punched him in the nose and
shouted: "You wanted to end our liberties but you failed."
James Madison followed, kicked him in the groin and said:
"This is why I allowed our government to provide for the
common defense!"
Thomas Jefferson was next; he beat Osama with a long cane
and snarled: "It was evil men like you who inspired me to
write the Declaration of Independence."
The beatings and thrashing continued as George Mason,
James Monroe, and 64 other early Americans unleashed
their anger on the terrorist leader.
As Osama lay bleeding and in pain, an angel appeared.

The angel replied: "I told you there would be 70 Virginians waiting for you in Heaven. What did you think I said?"
